Imagine you are taking a long trip through space. Besides a top of the art spaceship, your ability to recycle oxygen, water and food would be of vital importance. The first space missions mankind made were therefore relatively short, because every single thing needed to be brought on board. In space technology a lot of investments are made in the knowledge of recycling to make longer space missions possible. Bioclear earth worked with the European Space Agency (ESA) to develop a biological space filtering system for air treatment of manned space stations like the international Space Station (ISS).
Just consider this, actually the earth is our spaceship. In the nearby future sustainability and the recycling of resources is going to be of vital importance. Bioclear earth wants to contribute to the development of the circular economy by creating sustainable recycling processes.
A handful of soil contains more microorganisms than people living on our planet. Half of all biomass on earth consists of microorganisms. These microorganisms are the most important recyclers of all kinds of materials on earth and are indispensable for the natural food cycle. We can still learn a lot from these organisms. The microbial world contains a treasure of knowledge of which we have discovered just the tip of the iceberg.
That’s why we invest a part of our company’s revenue to develop new knowledge, technology and products. In cooperation with universities, research centres and other companies we develop new concepts and technology based on biological processes, applied to for instance:
To market these innovation concepts, technology and products we work together with partners who are equally driven to contribute to a sustainable prosperity and the circular economy.
